This week's instalment, to continue with the theme of inner-city decay, comes from UK hip-hop artist Kyza.
Hailing from the once renowned "Terra Firma" collective, I spent a lot of time mulling over his gritty metaphors and pungent one-liners as a teenager.
To be honest I have left that scene alone for a while, but as far as I am aware I presume that he is still around having self-released an album last year entitled "Shots of Smirnoff".
The tune I'm posting is from around 2005, and for me it carries an energy of such intensity so specific to a time of so much breakthrough, diversity and anger stemming from the once so prominent "age of grime".
